On this site are some photographs of the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia's Annual Spring Fling held in Danville, Pennsylvania May 4 - 6, 2007 The event was planned and organized Linda McGrane and her Dad, Jim. They did an excellent job and and deserve a great "THANK YOU" for all their hard hard work. Thanks to all the other participants who contributed to a wonderful weekend.
The event was based at the Quality Inn outside of Danville, PA. Danville is strategically located near Catawissa, Bloomsburg and Lewisburg and provided easy access to quiet, hilly roads; perfect for cycling. Linda provided cue sheets for all levels and varied distances.
For Saturday's Ride I arranged made arrangements with a local cyclist, Susan Rosand, to lead us on 50 mile ride. She did an amazing job, taking us on quiet scenic roads with a few ‘bumps‘. Susan's husband, Robert is a professional wood turner and sells beautiful items. Check out his work on their web site.
On Saturday night the gang boarded a bus headed to the Victorian Lady restaurant in Lewisburg . We feasted on appetizers before dinner and then were treated to a fine meal and yummy desserts.
From start to finish, it was a wonderful weekend. My husband and I met so many nice, fellow cyclists. We hope to join you in the fall at Gettysburg.
I hope you enjoy the photos. Please send any feedback to me: dolly@luvs2ride.com
